Description

Linda Shein is the Managing Director of the Baker Retailing Center at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, a retail innovation think tank engaging C-level executives at top brands with the school and each other, for the advancement of best practices. Linda serves as retail subject matter expert, and has an extensive industry background in digital commerce, wholesale and brick-and-mortar retail. In addition to her expertise in the fashion industry and all things digital, Linda is passionate about the natural products space, and is a Board Director at a regional natural grocer where she sits on the Audit Committee.

Previously, Linda was President of her own consulting firm focused on marketing and merchandising, both online and offline. Earlier, she was Division General Manager of fashion retailer Précis, reporting to the CEO of $1 billion Edison Brothers Stores. Linda created the “cheap chic” 45-store Précis footwear and accessories specialty retail concept as an internal startup, where in addition to running the division she was Chief Merchant. She was also involved in the successful turnaround of Bakers Shoe Stores, and worked at Boston Consulting Group and Fujitsu.

Linda holds an undergraduate degree in marketing from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
