Join us Monday night at the Welcome Reception, host by American Botanical Council, as we kickoff the 20th Annual NBJ Summit.
American Botanical Council (ABC) is the leading international, independent nonprofit education and research organization using science-based information to promote the responsible use of herbs, medicinal plants, teas, phytomedicines, essential oils, plant-based foods, and medicinal fungi.
ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Program (BAP)
ABC is leading international efforts to help improve transparency in an attempt to stop the sale of adulterated, fraudulent botanical ingredients. Six years ago, working in partnership with the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP), and the University of Mississippi’s National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR), ABC initiated a large-scale program called the ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Program (BAP).
The goal of this program is to educate members of the herbal and dietary supplement industry about ingredient and product adulteration to help ensure consumers receive healthy, reliable, properly-labeled products.
